Terms & Conditions

 

1. Terms and Conditions of Workshop Bookings:

1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all participants of courses, workshops, private tuition and photographic tours (herein: “workshop”, “booking””agreement”), regardless of payment amount.

1.2 The terms and conditions below form part of the contract between us (“our”, “Velvet & Linen” “Organiser” us”, “we”) and you (“participant”, “attendee”, “you”, “your”) and are the basis on which any disagreement will be considered.

1.3 Workshops are intended to be a fun, interactive and enjoyable experience, and these terms and conditions are set out to ensure all parties are aware of their responsibilities, allowing everyone to focus on learning and creating.

1.4 By booking a workshop with us, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the terms and conditions set about below.

1.5 By booking and attending a workshop, participants are confirming that they have read the associated workshop description, content, prerequisites and physical requirements and meet all of these as set out on the booking page.

 

2. Ticket Purchase:

The Attendee agrees to purchase ticket(s) for the Photography Workshop at the advertised ticket price. Payment shall be made by the Attendee through the Organizer’s designated payment method, as provided at the checkout.

 

3. Workshop Terms:

3.1 Attendance: The Attendee acknowledges that the ticket(s) purchased is/are for their personal use and is/are not transferable to another individual without prior written consent from the Organizer.

3.2 Workshop Content: The Organizer will provide a Wedding Photography Workshop, including but not limited to Styled Content shoots, lectures, demonstrations, and practical sessions. The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to ensure the content and schedule as advertised, but reserves the right to modify or change the content, speakers, or schedule as necessary.

 

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

In the event that the Attendee wishes to cancel their attendance at the workshop, refunds will be processed according to the following schedule:

 

Cancellation 14 or more days prior to the workshop: 100% refund.

Cancellation 7 days before the workshop: the ticket will be re-advertised and if purchased by another party 100% refund will be made.

Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to the workshop: No refund will be provided.

 

5. Behavior and Conduct:
5.1 The Attendee agrees to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner throughout the workshop. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior towards hosts, suppliers, staff, fellow attendees, or any other individuals present will not be tolerated. The Workshop Organizer reserves the right to expel any Attendee displaying such behavior without a refund.
5.2 The Workshop Organiser cannot be held accountable for the behaviours and opinions of fellow attendees and will not offer refunds due to disruption to the workshop by attendees
5.3 Alcohol and Substance Use: The Attendee agrees not to consume alcoholic beverages or any illegal substances during the workshop sessions. The Workshop Organizer reserves the right to remove any Attendee who is found to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances without a refund.

 

6.Liability:

The Organizer will not be held responsible for any personal injury or property damage that may occur during the workshop. Attendees are advised to exercise caution and take necessary safety precautions.

7.Photography and Recordings:

The Attendee acknowledges that the Workshop may be documented through photographs, audio, and video recordings. By attending the Workshop, the Attendee grants the Organizer the right to use their image and likeness in promotional materials related to the Workshop.

 

 8. Insurance & Documentation:

8.1 It is your responsibility to ensure you have all necessary travel documents, visas, permits and full insurance (for both equipment as well as medical/travel issues if needed) before the start of the workshop itself.

8.2  Should a participant be unable to enter a destination country for reasons relating to the issuance of visas, denial of entry, health or past immigration history, no refunds will be made.

 

9.Governing Law:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
